Hi, I am
Merie Adams

My interior design journey began with the purchase of my first home. Keen to decorate and create a space that was truly mine, I renovated my home to reflect who I was, whilst also keeping to a tight budget. With my interest in design piqued, I soon enrolled on to a soft furnishings course, and fell in love with the world of colour theory, design and fabric. 

After enjoying the process of decorating my own home, the course provided me with the tools to analyse exactly what works and why, and also gave me the skill to create my own design pieces. From creating cushions and curtains with detailed accent piping, to reupholstering chairs and hand crafting lamp shades. 

I developed my skills further by learning the art of wallpapering and painting, two skilled trades that can make or break the essence of a room. 

Before long, friends and family turned to me for advice and guidance, and I enjoyed the process of helping others achieve their interior design dreams. As our family grew, we bought, renovated and sold several homes; honing my skills as we moved along life’s journey.

By day I worked in Real Estate, analysing market trends and seeking the best deals. By night I immersed myself in a world of design, constantly learning and researching.
